According to Hindu epic one who visits this sacred temple of Lord Vishnu will attain the Moksha / salvation state and do not have to take birth and rebirth in this worldly cycle of Maya (an illusion). The main temple of Muktinath is a pagoda style temple Dedicated to Lord Vishnu that symbolizes the religious symbiosis between Hindu and Buddhists. The temple is also abode by the metal statues of the Hindu goddess Laxmi, Saraswoti, Janaki, Garuda, Lava- Kush and Sapta Rishis. The pilgrimage site of Muktinath is said to have appeared on its own. The shrine is one of eight such shrines of which seven other are Srirangam, Sri Mushnam, Tirupati, Naimisaranyam, Thottadri, Pushkaram and Badrinath. This famous pilgrimage site lies at the gateway to mustang from Manang in Annapurna circuit at an altitude of (3800m.) from the sea level.
There are many options for those seeking to go for Muktinath Darshan Yatra. You can either take a flight from Pokhara to Jomsom and walk from Jomsom to Muktinath via Kagbeni and Jharkot or drive from Pokhara to Jomsom and trek to Muktinath or fly via helicopter from Kathmandu to Muktinath which will take 1 and half hour.
